Indianapolis’ own little haven for therapeutic bodywork and skin treatments

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for over a decade and a licensed esthetician for the past 8 years! I’ve traveled across the US, and sometimes outside it, to earn my various certifications in different techniques of massage and skin treatments.
Bodywork isn’t just my passion, it’s an obsession!
However, my story didn’t start out that way. At 19 I was struggling to figure out what to do with my life. I was a waitress while I attended college, working towards no goal in particular. Bored in the mornings, stressed in the evenings. I ended up quitting both after a year. I then became acquainted with a friend of a friend who was a massage therapist. Honestly, if she ever went into sales she would probably be a millionaire by now because I was sold on the career change. I found Indiana Therapeutic Massage School 20 minutes away from me and scheduled an orientation. This visit gave me the clarity I needed to find my path. (Thank you, Janis!)
From your favorite pro sports players and Olympic competing athletes to clients that have been dealing with chronic pain for 10+ years and new moms in need of some self care, I am proud to be able to provide a space to showcase my talent for making others perform and feel their best!
Services
Massage
Swedish- A traditional massage with light to medium pressure. The more superficial muscle groups benefit most from this technique. I recommend this type of session for clients new to massage and unsure of where to start.
Deep Tissue- Another common type of massage. The muscles that reside deeper are the focus of this session. A favorite of those with active lifestyles. Firm pressure is used and the client body’s may feel sore or similar to a first time workout, but will ease with proper rest and hydration.
Myofascial Release- The muscle and fascia tissue of the body is gently stretched to relieve pain and tightness. Oil and lotion are not used with this session. While this is a gentle technique, some areas that are more “stuck” than others may have more of a pain response.
Trigger Point Therapy- “Knots” or the nodules in muscles that are created by overuse and poor body posture are targeted with this technique. Pressure is applied to the tissue and as it loosens clients may feel a warm or “electric” sensation.
Neuromuscular Therapy- A combination of Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Positional Release, and stretching techniques. Effective with treating chronic pain due to accident/injury or strain from overuse.
Prenatal/Maternity Massage- A special cushion is used to allow clients to be placed on the massage table in traditional positioning while still being comfortable.
Cranial Sacral Therapy- Gentle pressure is applied to the head , neck, and spine to help release tension. I recommend this session for anyone dealing with chronic headaches, migraines, and emotionally stressful situations.
Range of Motion Stretching- Used to relax muscles and connective tissues after exercise. This can be incorporated into your massage session or can be performed by itself while the client is fully clothed.
Scar Tissue Release- A hands-on technique to break down and loosen scar tissue in order to reduce pain, enhance mobility, and improve the appearance of the scar.
Mayan Abdominal Therapy- A noninvasive technique to improve the health of the digestive system. The internal organs are gently repositioned to relieve tension in the diaphragm and improve flow of the body. Please be aware, this technique cannot be used for clients that are less than a year out from major abdominal surgery, including Cesarean section.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation/Graston Technique/ASTYM- Stainless steel “blades” are used to scrape along the body addressing issues with soft tissues, such as Tendinitis, Carpal tunnel syndrome, and sprains.
Cupping Therapy/Myofascial Decompression- Made popular by athletes such as Michael Phelps, plastic and/or silicone cups are used to create suction and lift the tissue to reduce pain and discomfort in the muscles and joints, improve blood flow, allow relaxation, and promote healing. Can be added to a facial treatment.
Fascia Blasting- My most sought after booking! A therapeutic technique that uses specialized tools to massage and break up adhesion and restrictions in the fascia layer and connective tissues of the body. While the look of cellulite can be improved with regular FB treatment, my goal is to improve client’s mobility and function along with reducing chronic pain. Can be added to a facial treatment.
Hot Stone- Palm sized stones are heated to about 115-120 degrees Fahrenheit and massage over the body to relieve tension and promote relaxation, a suitable add on to Swedish massage sessions.
Warm Bamboo- Various bamboo sticks are heated up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit and rhythmically worked over the body. The temperature and tools penetrate deeper than hot stones making this a great addition to deep tissue sessions.
Additional Products
Pain Relieving Hemp Creme- 1,500.000 mg of hemp oil infused cream to provide fast acting joint and muscle soothing relief. ($10 add on)
Magnesium Oil- Derived from Dead Sea Salt, considered to be one of the best natural pain relieving remedies for muscle and joint pain. ($10 add on)
Skin Care
Customized Facials- A 60 minute session with Skin Script products. Products will be chosen to best address your skin concerns (Acneic skin, oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, hyperpigmentation, sensitive skin, and rosacea). Each facial includes the following: One to two cleansings based on skin’s needs, an enzyme exfoliation. Extractions to remove blackheads, whiteheads, or other forms of pore congestion, Toner to ensure the skin is completely cleansed before mask placement, a mask with LED light therapy and massage. Each session concludes with a layer a serum, moisturizer, and an SPF.
Fascia Blasting, Cupping therapy, and Gua Sha can be added.
Boosted Enzymatic Facial- The same protocol for the Customized Facials is used with the addition of the Lactic or Glycolic peel to the enzyme exfoliation choice to enhance results. This is excellent for clients who do not want the downtime of a full peel or wish to prep before receiving a peel. Clients who have had recent sun exposure, are pregnant or nursing, or using topical medications/antibiotics, Accutane, or other prescription/over the counter retinoids are contraindicated for receiving this treatment.
Microdermabrasion or Dermaplaning can be added.
Dermaplaning- An exfoliation procedure that removes the top layer of skin with a medical grade scalpel. Dermaplaning improves skin texture by smoothing and making the skin look more radiant. It also helps with better product absorption. While “peach fuzz” facial hair will grow back about a month post treatment, it will not be thicker or darker due to the fact the dermal papilla (structure at the base of the hair follicle) is still intact, unlike shaving.
Microdermabrasion- An exfoliation procedure where a vacuum with a crystallized tip gently sands away the top player of skin. With regular treatment, Microderm can help improve the appearance of scarring, discoloration from sun damage and age, and uneven texture.
Gua Sha- A tool with smooth edges is used to gently scrape the skin improving blood circulation and lymphatic flow while decreasing puffiness and tension. This can be chosen as a substitution for Dermaplaning or Microdermabrasion.
Foot/Hand Treatment- The feet or hands are cleansed, exfoliated, moisturized, and massaged giving them a softer, more youthful feel. Hot towels are used with this treatment.
Back Treatment- All the benefits of a facial but for the back! Each treatment includes a Cleansing, Exfoliation, Extractions with High Frequency, Toner, Mask with Led Light Therapy and Massage, a skin specific Serum, Moisturizer, and SPF.
Eye Treatment- This can be added to any facial service. A hydrating serum, peptide serum, and peptide cream are applied around the eye after the mask is removed. This treatment is beneficial to counteract the effects of digital pollution from cell phone and computer use.
20% Lactic Lightening Peel- Treats dry skin, and/or skin with hyperpigmentation or melasma. Clients will be sent home with aftercare products and may experience mild flaking for 3-4 days. Clients who have had recent sun exposure, are pregnant or nursing, or using topical medications/antibiotics, Accutane, or other prescription/over the counter retinoids are contraindicated for receiving this treatment..
30% Glycolic Peel- Treats acneic, congested, and keratinized skin. Clients will be sent home with aftercare products. Clients who have had recent sun exposure, are pregnant or nursing, or using topical medications/antibiotics, Accutane, or other prescription/over the counter retinoids are contraindicated for receiving this treatment.
10% TCA Peel Series- TCA stands for Trichloroacetic Acid, which is used to lighten hyperpigmentation and melasma (pregnancy mask). This is also an excellent treatment for acne. This specific TCA peel is gentle, mild and has been buffered with kojic acid (anti aging effect by treating sun damaged skin), azelaic acid (improves skin texture and smoothness), and arbutin (antioxidant properties to protect skin from free radical damage). It is safe for all skin types! The 10% TCA peel is a series of 4, weekly treatments to prepare the skin for the finally TCA treatment. The first treatment begins with a consultation, a boosted enzymatic facial, and home care products. The second treatment will introduce the 20% lactic lightening peel. The third treatment is the 30% glycolic peel. The fourth treatment is the 10% TCA peel, clients may or may not experience minor flaking for 3-4 days with this. Aftercare products are sent home with clients after every treatment. Clients who have had recent sun exposure, are pregnant or nursing, or using topical medications/antibiotics, Accutane, or other prescription/over the counter retinoids are contraindicated for receiving this treatment.
I do not have the 10% TCA peel available for booking online! If you would like to schedule this series, please reach out to me so I can get you booked in the correct order.
